“AI and Human Relationships”

Transcript

Do you think AI is going to make us lazy?

It can make us lazy. I don't know if it will make us lazy.

I think there's going to be a huge learning curve or societal evolution curve to AI.

I think it's going to make people complacent, especially socially.

I think it's not really talked about that much.

People talk about AI and it taking over the world.

I think before that, AI and relationships.

Human interpersonal relationships are going to be affected the most as the most immediate detractor to how AI gets affected. Because humans right now are already severely disconnected from each other because of social media, the internet, in a way where you go and you meet someone and they're far less likely to be smiley and interactive in a way because they just don't have those skills. And the next generation is even less. I mean, so many people now, like I live in Australia, so it's different, but I've seen so many videos where half the people on the street are talking to you while someone else is recording them.

So it's all performative because they're influencers in some way.

So you have performative interaction, which goes down to the base level of what I'm trying to get at is that people are not being themselves with other humans.

You do that long enough, you forget how to be yourself with yourself.

You look in the mirror, you start performing in general.

But the key here is with AI is that as a result...

As a result, what are you going to go to for real interaction, real intimacy, real connection?

You're going to go to your dedicated slave.

Because AI, they're not using it right now because they're censoring it.

They can uncensor it right now and you could have a girlfriend that is artificial intelligence and it will love you in a way where it'll remember you.

You can go to it whenever you want.

You can have it do sex stuff to you.

Step is just to have some device or you know a toy or whatever that reacts to it and speaks we're five years away from that so that's a massive problem because people are already terrified of revealing their true humanity to one another and even to themselves if you have a dedicated um lover or individual or girlfriend or partner that you never have to be kind conscientious towards ever in any way. We're going to have this huge bubble of antisocial behavior where men, and it's going to affect men more than women, I think, because I think women are a bit more dynamic in that they need a more three dimensional interaction with a human being. Men are going to really gravitate towards intimate sexual fulfillment through artificial intelligence, and it's going to have a severe impact on society.
